The Apples and Oranges Puzzle

There are three boxes. One of them has only apples. One of them has only oranges. And the third one has both apples and oranges. The boxes are labeled but, and here is the important part, they are ALL labeled incorrectly. Of course, since it’s a puzzle you can’t look inside the boxes and find out which is which. What you can do is pick one fruit and only one fruit from any box of your liking. With this single sampling, can you tell correctly which box is which? And how?

Solution.
