I'm at the Ohio State University

I wonder why everyone is thinking I'm studying at Purdue. I'm not. I decided to join the Ohio State University instead.

  2. students of Purdue university are referred as "Boilermaker".....i have some Boilermakers in my office!

  3. @ Adit - Ah, I see. OSU students are known as "Buckeyes" so that's what I would be, I guess. Hate labels anyway, I do. :) What's the origin of boilermaker. Buckeye comes from the seed of some tree that's found in this region. The seed looks like the eye of a buck.

  4. in the 19th century, engineering students at Purdue had to heat and mold metal....so came the term "Boilermakers"...this somehow got into the media... the rest is history..
